Hire better engineers

Stop wasting your engineers' time

Structured technical interviews. Run them yourself, or have our senior engineers run them for you. Either way you get a scored, auditable report the same day.

Handholding Tiers
Minimal – None or light help. No effect on the score.
Moderate – Hinted at the cause or gave part of the solution. Takes 1 point off the criteria.
Heavy – Explicit direction or significant help. Caps the criteria at 1 point.
✓Correctly identified recursive structure
✓Proved the solution must halt before writing it
✓Got briefly distracted trying to prove the Halting Problem
✓Drew the tree using a cipher the interviewer couldn't read
✓Solution was provably optimal
✓Attempted to formalize the question as a decidability problem
✓Mentioned geometric properties
✓Spent 4 minutes asking whether the question is computable
✓Eventually answered correctly after interviewer nudge
✓Proposed an Enigma-based manhole locking mechanism
✓Proved O(1) FizzBuzz is impossible via reduction
✓Wrote a Turing machine that solves it anyway
✓Code compiled on first attempt
✓Politely declined to implement AbstractFizzBuzzFactory
✓Asked if the interviewer has read his 1936 paper
Overall Notes

Alan demonstrated strong theoretical foundations but spent considerable time trying to prove whether the interview itself was decidable. Required moderate handholding on the manhole question, which he dismissed as "not a proper computational problem." Would have benefited from a whiteboard rather than an Enigma machine. Strong hire – assuming the role doesn't require social media presence.

What we do

We run your technical interviews

You send your candidate a link. One of our interviewers runs a live session with them in our browser IDE: real debugging in a working codebase, not LeetCode.

The interviewer records observations as they happen; the platform computes the score. The same day, you get the full report: verdict, checklist, code, keystroke replay.

Prefer to run them yourself?

Your engineers get the same library, rubrics and reports on plans from a month.

How it runs

Your calendar stays empty

You send the candidate a link and read the report that comes back. Everything in between happens without you.

Your side of it
  1. 01

    Send the candidate a link

Pick a role format, type an email address. That's the whole setup.

  2. 02

    Read the report

Read the score, observation checklist, final code and keystroke playback the same day.

  3. 03

    Make the call

We measure, you decide. Forward the report as-is to whoever needs convincing.

Ours
  • Scheduling

The candidate picks a slot from live interviewer availability. Nobody plays calendar tennis.

  • Prep

They get a brief before the session: what's assessed and how each question works.

  • The session

A senior engineer runs it with them in our browser IDE, on camera.

  • Scoring

Observations are ticked as they happen; the platform does the math.

  • Write-up

AI can organize notes, suggest a draft and flag missed evidence. The interviewer makes every judgment, edits the draft and signs the report.

Who is interviewing your candidates

Average interviewer experience

People who have shipped production systems for over a decade and spent years of it on the hiring side of the table.

6,000
Technical interviews conducted

Combined interviewing mileage across the pool: career sessions for some of the most demanding hiring bars in tech, plus every interview run on Coderbase.

LeetCode brainteasers

We test what the job tests: unfamiliar code, a real bug, trade-offs that have to hold in production. If it doesn't happen on the job, it doesn't happen in our interviews.

Why senior engineers take these sessions

Coderbase pays the best interviewer rates in the business and adjusts them each year for inflation. Interviewers can earn more through volume, quality and incentives. People who've run thousands of interviews for the most demanding hiring bars in tech don't moonlight for scraps, and paying them properly is how we keep them, so your next interviewer meets the same standard as the last one.

Candidate experience

An anxious candidate is a noisy signal

A candidate who bombs because they're terrified tells you nothing. We strip the anxiety out of the format so what you measure is ability, not nerves.

Prepared, not ambushed

Every candidate gets a prep brief before the session: what's being assessed, how each question works, what the timing is. No surprises.

A human in the room

A senior engineer who keeps candidates moving without giving the answer away. No bot voice, no lockdown spyware, no hidden test cases.

A no-penalty redo

When you enable it, a candidate can opt into a fresh second interview – you get both reports. The safety net alone calms nerves and cuts false negatives.
